Nyctophobia: Fear of the Dark
It’s our most basic fear–not just from our childhoods, but from the infancy of mankind. We cannot defend against what we cannot see.
But isn’t it astounding to think that, rather than cower, we acted? We made fire. Electricity. We fought the darkness back. We kept it at bay.
The only darkness we have to fear now is, not in the world… but only within ourselves. Of course, we can find light there, too. It’s a harder light to create, but it’s far more powerful than any lightbulb or any flame.
Find your lights. Fight your darkness. And keep a flashlight nearby… just in case.
