This week, I’m happy to report more of the same: Writing, writing, and more writing.
I’ve had a lot of fun working on the story that came out of the poll I did last month–“I Remember Everything.” I’ve taken some ideas for it from a story I abandoned back in college. It’s quickly becoming much larger than I anticipated; chapter three is scheduled to post on Monday.
I have to be honest with everyone, though: I have no complete idea where this story is going. I’m just having fun with it. I have a rough concept and a few scattered thoughts from way back in college, but the hows, the whys, the wheres… they’re as much a journey to me as they are for the characters.
And that’s kind of exciting.
A while ago, I described the difference between writing a story with an outline or by freestyling. I typically do the former, but, I have to admit, trying my hand at freestyling has been a really cool adventure.
I hope I don’t get writer’s block. I want to finish this story. I don’t know how… but that mystery feels like part of the fun.
A big thank you to all of my readers for keeping me motivated! Let’s see what happens next–both with Bo and with my writing journey.
